WELCOME TO SHEPHERD COACH!
Thank you for visiting Shepherd Coach!
It is has been my life-long experience to have have been blessed with Christian Shepherds, both men and women who rescued me from dangers, disasters and attacks from Satan at just the right time and in ways that kept me from death and destructon. I am filled with joy as I look back over my 75 years. My wonderful and faithful Mom, now happy and healthy at age 96, taught me about Jesus from the time I was born. My father never indicated that he was a believer. He too loved his first born son, and as a boy I worshiped him. But, I learned from him how to be a work-a-holic, how to shoot dice, drink beer and chase women. I will share my story in detail in the various sections of this Site, but please let me simply say at this point that each Christian is a Shepherd to at least one sheep and at the same time has at least one shepherd. At least that is my observation after years of serving and leading in many local churches.
Of course, all believers of the Lord Jesus Christ are His sheep. We are disciples of the Great Shepherd, Jesus Christ. And, disciples of Jesus tend attract others who want to know more about their life and faith. They are drawn into unique oppotunities to serve, to love and encourage. Yes, disciples are servants and God brings them face to face with opportunities to bless, teach, and serve others who become servant-leaders.
Christian spiritual leaders are first followers of Jesus Christ, the beloved son of God. Christian Spiritual Leaders can be either men or women. And they have a certain attracton to others along the way who are spiritually hungry and thirsty. They are loved and respected. And they become effective teachers and encouragers, producing "under-shepherds" who are blessed with the opportunity of carrying forward the love, encouragement and teaching of others. Often a number of the more mature and respected Shepherds are selected by the congregaton to serve as a Board of Elders, according to New Testimont example and teaching. The Elders serve the congregation in many ways, varying according to denomination or congregation.
